LSU sprints to a 27-0 lead and never looks back. Domanick Davis rushes for 3 of his 4 TDs, and Rohan Davey hits Josh Reed with a 5-yard TD pass before Illinois can end a string of 3-and-outs. Davis rushes for 122 yards in place of injured starter LaBrandon Toefield.

Davey balances the Tigers' offensive outburst, throwing for 444 yards and 3 TDs, connecting with Reed 14 times for 239 yards and Michael Clayton 8 times for 120 yards.

The Illini wakes up in the 2nd half after its too late, with Brandon Lloyd catching a pair of TD passes and throwing for another while Walter Young catches 6 passes for 178 yards and 2 TDs.
