Orangemen escape with a 24-17 win over the Scarlet Knights.

Syracuse avoids another upset by Rutgers when R.J. Anderson hits James Mungro with a 2-yard TD toss w/ 1:17 remaining to break a 17-17 tie. The Orangemen had let a 17-5 lead slip away in the 4th quarter.

Mungro rushes for 140 yards, carrying a struggling Syracuse attack with the help of mistake-prone Rutgers. However, the Knights put it together (mostly) in the 4th as Ravon Anderson scores on a 19-yard TD run and Ryan Cubit hits Delrico Fletcher with a 10-yard TD pass, but Rutgers misses both PATs leaving the game tied until the Orangemen's late score.
