Middle Tennessee State follows up a win over Vanderbilt in the opener with a rout of Troy State to go 2-0 for the 1st time since 1990. The Blue Raiders roll up 313 yards rushing as 4 players gain over 55 yards individually.

Wes Counts hits Kendall Newson for a 25-yard TD pass and Dwone Hicks adds a pair of TD runs to open a 19-0 lead before the Trojans get on the board. Hicks then adds a 15-yard TD reception and Don Calloway adds 2 TDs runs as Middle Tennessee State builds a 40-3 lead in the 3rd quarter.
