#17 Bruins ruin the start of the Dennis Franchione tenure with the #25 Crimson Tide, rallying from a slow start to win 20-17.

Franchione's start at Alabama looks good after the Tide jump in front 10-0. However, DeShaun Foster sparks UCLA's running game and Cory Paus provides the 1 big play from the passing game.

Foster rushes for 110 yards and Paus gives the Bruins a 14-10 lead with a 53-yard TD pass to Tab Perry. UCLA extends the lead to 20-10 and makes a big stand inside its own 10 in the 4th quarter to keep Alabama 2 scores down.
