Cody Pickett throws for 371 yards and 1 TD, and Reggie Williams catches 11 passes for 203 yards to lead Washington. Meanwhile, Washington State bumbles, turning the ball over 4 times and failing to capitalize on drives deep into Huskies' territory.

The Huskies take a 13-7 lead late in the 1st half when John Anderson hits a pair of FGs in the final :09 of the half after the Cougars fumble the kickoff after the 1st FG. Willie Hurst adds a 1-yard TD run in the 3rd quarter and Pickett's 7-yard TD pass to Jerramy Stevens in the 4th quarter makes it 26-7.
