Alabama forces 5 turnovers and sacks Timmy Chang 6 times to ground Hawaii's attack while building a 21-3 lead. Chang tosses a pair of 4th quarter TD passes to draw the Rainbows within 5, but the Tide recovers an onside kick w/ 1:55 left to seal the win.

Shaud Williams rushes for 160 yards and 1 TD to spark Alabama's attack. Williams scores on a 1-yard run and Ray Hudson adds a 14-yard TD run to give the Tide a 14-0 halftime lead. Tyler Watts extends the lead to 21-3 in the 4th quarter with a 26-yard TD pass to Sam Collins.
