Washington State is the last unbeaten team standing in the conference after running out to a 17-0 lead and eventually going up 30-6 before Arizona State's offense can start scoring. Jason Gesser throws for 250 yards and 3 TDs, while becoming the Cougars' all-time leading passer for yardage.

Gesser hits Jerome Riley with a 31-yard TD pass on the opening possession, and then hits Troy Bienemann with a 1-yarder as Washington State takes a 17-0 lead in the 1st quarter. He hits Riley with a 39-yard TD in the 2nd quarter.
