#19 Trojans sneak by the Tigers 24-17.

Southern Cal wins it on Carson Palmer's 1-yard TD run w/ 1:26 left to play. Palmer throws for 302 yards and 1 TD and the Trojans' defense shuts down Auburn in the 2nd half after the teams are tied 14-14 at halftime.

With Cadillac Williams battling cramps in the 2nd half, the Tigers manage just 35 yards on offense compared to 204 yards in the 1st half. Palmer's 14-yard TD pass to Kareem Kelly gets USC in front early, but Ronnie Brown scores on a 1-yard run w/ :11 in the half to tie it.

The teams trade FGs in the 2nd half before Palmer's late TD decides it.
