#1 Hurricanes pull away from the Eagles for a 38-6 rout.

Boston College's ball-control, methodical approach works for most of the 1st half, but Miami's speed and big plays are too much. After the Eagles take a 6-3 lead on Sandro Sciortino's 41-yard FG in the final minute of the 1st half, the Hurricanes flash their speed, turning a long pass to Andre Johnson and a 48-yard run by Willis McGahee into a 1-yard TD run by McGahee and a 10-6 halftime lead.

Miami never trails again. McGahee, who has 135 yards rushing and 86 yards receiving, scores on a 5-yard TD run in the 3rd quarter. Then Ken Dorsey hits Kellen Winslow Jr. with a 1-yard TD pass and Jonathan Vilma returns a fumble 2 yards for a TD and 31-6 lead on the ensuing possession.
