Penn State rolls up 315 yards on the ground to bully Illinois. However, missed opportunities negate much of the advantage until Zach Mills hits Mike Lukac with a 2-yard TD pass late in the 1st half for a 18-0 lead.

The Illini manages a push in the 4th quarter when Jon Beutjer hits Kenny Boyle with a 1-yard TD pass, but Penn State stops another drive inside the 10-yard line in the closing minutes to preserve the win.
