Tar Heels edge the Blue Devils 23-21 for their 13th straight in the battle for the Victory Bell.

Dan Orner hits a 47-yard FG on the final play capping a wild finish and lifting North Carolina to the win after he misses 2 FGs and a PAT, allowing Duke to take a 21-20 lead when Alex Smith hits Senterrio Landrum with a 33-yard FG w/ :53 to play. However, the Tar Heels rally to allow Orner his shot at redemption and escape from the goat horns when Darian Durrant hits Sam Aiken on a 4th-down conversion.

North Carolina breaks a 14-14 tie when Durant hits Jawarski Pollack with a 37-yard TD pass early in the 4th quarter, however, Orner misses the PAT. Durant throws for 262 yards and 1 TD while running for another. Jacque Lewis runs for 102 yards and 1 TD for the Heels. Duke counters with 135 yards rushing and 1 TD by Alex Wade.
