Miners boot the Owls late for 38-35 win.

Keith Robinson nails a 59-yard FG w/ :11 left to lift UTEP to the win. Rice had tied the game on the previous drive when Kyle Herm hits Marcus Battle with an 18-yard TD pass, but the Miners drive back for the winning score.

Rice goes up 28-21 on Herm's 69-yard TD pass to Jeremy Hurd in the 3rd quarter, but UTEP rallies, and goes ahead on Thomas Howard's 54-yard fumble return for a score early in the 4th quarter. UTEP's Howard Jackson rushes for 166 yards and 1 TD.
