TCU moves into 1st place in Conference USA with a dominating defense and running game. The Frogs hold Southern Miss to 185 total yards and sack Eagles' QBs 9 times. Meanwhile, Lonta Hobbs and Ricky Madison combine for 214 yards rushing.

Hobbs leads the way with 123 yards and 3 TDs, helping TCU overcome the loss of starting QB Ty Gunn to a season-ending knee injury. Hobbs' 15-yard TD run in the 2nd quarter helps the Frogs to a 13-0 lead.

After Southern Miss gets on the board with a 48-yard TD pass from Dustin Almond to Jeremy Young early in the 2nd half, the Frogs respond, going up 23-7 on Jared Smitherman's 37-yard INT return and then following up with TD runs of 53 and 13 yards by Hobbs.
