Texas A&M withstands a 4th quarter rally by Pitt thanks to a failed PAT and a failed 2-point conversion attempt to tie w/ 2:00 left. Then the Panthers' final hope fails when a procedure penalty on the onside kick attempt foils that.

The Aggies manage just 281 yards on offense, and 2 TD runs by Derek Farmer. But Texas A&M limits Pitt to 232 yards. However, Rod Rutherford scores on a 1-yard run early in the 4th quarter to start the rally and then finds Kris Wilson for a 2-yard TD pass, but the 2-point pass fails.
