Texas rebounds from its loss to Oklahoma with a victory when Marcus Tubbs blocks Jared Brite's 36-yard FG attempt for the tie w/ :07 left. The Longhorns had gone up on Dusty Mangum's 27-yard FG w/ 1:32 to play.

Chris Simms throws for a pair of TDs, but Kansas State is able to idle Texas' running game, and stay close, tying it on Thomas Hill's 18-yard TD reception and Darren Sproles' run for a 2-point conversion after it, early in the 4th quarter. Sproles rushes for 136 yards as the Wildcats' lone productive threat. Texas counters with B.J. Johnson's 4 catches for 132 yards and 1 TD.
