Herd's offense thunders in a 26-21 win over the Golden Knights.

Marshall doesn't convert all its offense into points, but manages to roll up 511 yards on offense in a win over Central Florida. Byron Leftwich throws for 340 yards and 2 TDs while backup RB Brandon Carey runs for 142 yards and 1 TD.

Despite the offensive prowess, Central Florida is able to hang with the Thundering Herd for much of the game. Alex Haynes' 58-yard TD run puts the Knights ahead 14-10 in the 2nd quarter. Carey's 1-yard TD run restores Marshall to the lead. Leftwich gives the Herd a 26-14 lead in the 3rd quarter with a 36-yard TD pass to Josh Davis.
