Kansas State stops USC's rally after the Trojans cut into a 27-6 deficit and drive to the Wildcats' 33 in the close minutes before a sack and 4th-down incompletion kill the comeback attempt. Ell Roberson runs for a TD, tosses one and also scores a 2-point conversion.

Kansas State gets an unconventional score when Terrence Newman returns a blocked PAT for a score and 12-6 lead. Darren Sproles rushes for 78 yards and a 10-yard TD run. However, the Trojans rally, cutting into the lead when Carson Palmer tosses a 5-yard TD pass to Keary Colbert and Sultan McCullough scores a 25-yard TD run in the 4th quarter.
