Iowa scores 21 points in each of the 1st 2 quarters, adds 14 more in the 3rd to take a 56-0 lead while resting starters after halftime. Nathan Chandler is 8-of-11 for 113 yards and 2 TDs and runs for another in limited playing time. Fred Russell rushes for 98 yards and 1 TD on 12 carries.

Chandler's 5-yard TD pass to Ed Hinkel to cap the opening drive starts the rout. Russell adds a 1-yard TD run and Sean Considine returns a fumble 18 yards for a TD and 21-0 lead in the 1st quarter and Buffalo never challenges.
