Cougars turn to the ground to escape the Lobos and high winds with a 10-7 win.

With heavy winds stalling the passing games, Brigham Young gets 169 yards rushing from Ray Brathwaite. The Cougars take a 10-0 lead when Matt Berry hits Philip Niu with a 29-yard TD pass midway through the 2nd quarter.

New Mexico closes to 10-7 when DonTrell Moore scores on a 3-yard run in the 3rd quarter. Moore rushes for 101 yards, but cannot get the Lobos closer.
