Bradlee Van Pelt throws for 3 TDs as Colorado State records a mark for the most points scored by a visiting team at Cougar Stadium, a site where Brigham Young has run up many a totals against opponents in the past. The Rams jump out to a 21-3 lead in the 1st quarter as Van Pelt tosses 2 of his 3 TDs.

After the Cougars try to creep back into the game early in the 2nd quarter, Patrick Goodpaster returns a fumble 16 yards for a TD and 27-10 lead. Van Pelt hits Eric Hill for a 25-yard TD and then Marcus Houston converts another turnover into a score when goes in from 1-yard out. BYU is held to 269 yards and commits 4 turnovers.
