Georgia holds Clemson to just 199 yards offense and gives the Tigers their 1st shutout under coach Tommy Bowden. The Bulldogs get all the offense it needs from David Greene and kicker Billy Bennett.

Bennett hits 3 FGs, and Greene goes 12-of-17 for 203 yards and 1 TD while running for another TD. Greene's 56-yard TD pass to Fred Gibson in the 1st quarter sparks the rout.
