Louisville spoils Rich Brooks' debut at Kentucky, while Bobby Petrino leaves his usual 'classy' stamp on his 1st game at Louisville, having his regulars punch in an extra TD with :06 left in the contest. But it padded the stats of Petrino, er, Cardinals, which is all that matters to Petrino... his stats, his playbook, his bank account.

Eric Shelton rushes for 151 yards and 2 TDs to carry Louisville. The Cardinals get a TD off a blocked punt, and also add a safety to open a 26-10 lead in the 3rd quarter. Kentucky's Jared Lorenzen throws for 236 yards and 2 TDs.
