Texas rallies to take the lead late and then survives as Texas Tech's Keith Toogood misses a 48-yard FG attempt on the final play, after having 2 PATs blocked earlier. The Longhorns had trailed 40-35 w/ 1:57 left before Chance Mock relieved Vince Young and lead them on an 86-yard drive capped by Mock's 9-yard TD pass to B.J. Johnson and ensuing 2-point conversion w/ :46 left.

The Red Raiders had trailed 35-21 until scoring 19 straight to take the lead on Taurean Henderson's 10-yard TD run w/ 1:57 left. Tech's B.J. Symons throws for 365 yards and 3 TDs, while Texas gets big performances from Cedric Benson (142 yards rushing and 2 TDs) and Roy Williams (8 catches for 136 yards).
