Gophers crush the Trojans 48-7.

Minnesota outgains Troy State 468-to-189 and leads 41-0 before the Trojans score in the 4th quarter. When they do score, the Gophers erase any joy as Laurence Maroney returns the ensuing KO 88 yards for a TD.

Minnesota scores 10 points in each of the 1st two quarters. Marion Barber III follows Rhys Lloyd's 1st FG with a 8-yard TD run, and then Asad Abdul-Khaliq adds an 8-yarder in the 2nd quarter to make it 20-0. Thomas Tapeh's 15-yarder in the 3rd quarter makes it 27-0, and Abdul-Khaliq makes it a blowout when he connects with Aaron Hosack on a 55-yard TD pass.
