A week after upsetting #5 Penn State on the road, Iowa comes up flat, and has to hang on for the win over big underdog Arkansas State. After Corey Leonard's 2nd TD pass pulls the Indians within 24-21 w/ 2:01 left, the Hawkeyes have to stop a final rally attempt to preserve the win.

Ricky Stanzi tosses 3 TDs, helping Iowa take a 14-0 lead, and leading 21-7 and driving appears to have the Hawkeyes in position to seal the win, but Demario Davis picks him and returns it 75 yards for a TD cutting the lead to 21-14.
