Game Notes

#21 Bearcats put a stop to the #24 Beavers 28-18.

Cincinnati ends Oregon State's 26-game non-conference home winning streak as Tony Pike throws for 332 yards and 2 TDs and runs for another. In the end, its the Bearcats ability to finish off drives that proves to be the difference as Oregon State controls the ball for over 35 minutes but settles for FGs on 3 of its 4 scoring drives.

Meanwhile, Cincinnati capitalizes. Trailing 6-0 after the 1st quarter, the Bearcats outscore Oregon State 21-2 in the 2nd quarter as Pike and Isaiah Pead score on the ground, and then Pike hits D.J. Woods with a 45-yard TD pass w/ :18 left in the half. Pike's 19-yard TD pass to Marshawn Gilyard in the 4th quarter is the finish touch.
