Villanova Wildcats hail Matt Szczur after capturing their 1st national title with a 23-21 win over Montana.

Matt Szczur rushes for 159 yards and 2 TDs on 14 carries and catches 4 passes for 68 yards to lead Villanova. His big night helps offset the Grizzlies' Andrew Selle, who throws for 351 yards and 3 TDs.

Montana builds a 14-3 lead on a pair of TD passes by Selle, but Szczur's 5-yard TD run late in the 1st half closes the gap to 14-9. Chris Whitney hits Chris Farmer with a 3-yard TD pass in the 3rd quarter to put the Wildcats in the lead, and then Szczur extends the lead to 23-14 with a 3-yard TD run.
