NW Missouri State Bearcats end it right this time, beating Grand Valley State 30-23.

The Bearcats capture their 1st championship since 1998, ending a run of 4 straight losses in the championship game by holding off a big rally by the Lakers. NW Missouri State had jumped out to a 21-0 lead by early in the 2nd quarter, and were threatening to go up 28-0 before a stop.

Brad Iciek, who throws for 290 yards and 2 TDs, leads a Grand Valley State rally that cuts the lead to 23-20 early in the 4th quarter. However, Blake Bolles responds with a 26-yard TD pass to Jake Soy to re-establish the Bearcats' control.

LaRon Council ruhes for 172 yards and 2 TDs on 22 carries for NW Missouri State.
