Game Notes

Wildcats overcome a 4th quarter rally to beat the Hurons 27-24.

Northwestern wins it on Stefan Demos' 49-yard FG w/ :06 after Eastern Michigan erases a 24-10 deficit in the 4th quarter. The Wildcats had jumped out to a 21-0 lead early in the 1st half as Stephen Simmons has a pair of TD runs and Ben Johnson returns an INT 70 yards for a TD.

However, the Hurons keep chipping away, in part with help from 3 turnovers by the Wildcats. Eastern Michigan draws even in the 4th when Andy Schmitt hits Jacory Stone with a 25-yard TD pass and then Terrence Blevins adds a 3-yard TD run w/ 2:40 to play.
