Omar Clayton hits Phillip Payne with a 15-yard TD pass w/ :36 left to lift UNLV to the win after the 2 teams trade the lead 7 times. The Rebels had taken a 21-20 lead late in the 3rd period on a 9-yard TD pass from Clayton to Payne. But Hawaii regains the lead early in the 4th on Greg Alexander's 23-yard TD pass to Greg Salas.

Clayton's 11-yard TD run puts UNLV on top 28-27 only to see the Warriors regain the lead on Alex Green's 2-yard TD run w/ 5:27 to play. Clayton finishes with 340 yards and 3 TDs, while Alexander goes 31-of-48 for 477 yards and 3 TDs.
