#13 Cougars stage a miracle rally late to beat the Golden Hurricane 46-45.

Houston wins its on freshman Matt Hogan's 51-yard FG on the final play after the Cougars recover an onside kick to set up the chance. The Cougars pulled to within 45-43 w/ :21 left when Case Keenum hits James Cleveland with a 1-yard TD pass but the 2-point conversion to tie fails.

Tulsa appeared to be in prime position for the upset after it outscores Houston 24-3 after falling behind 24-14. However, Tyron Carrier returns a KO 98 yards for a TD to cut the lead to 38-34. Charles Clay scores with a 1-yard TD w/ 3:28 left to give the Hurricane a 45-37 lead, but the Cougars' rally erases it.

Hogan hits 4 of 5 FG attempts for Houston while Keenum completes 40-of-60 for 522 yards and 3 TDs. Cleveland catches 12 for 167 yards and 3 TDs with Patrick Edwards pulling in 11 receptions for 176 yards.

G.J. Kinne throws for 334 yards and 3 TDs for Tulsa, with Clay catching a pair of TDs to go with his TD run. Kinne also runs for 100 yards and 1 TD as the 2 teams combine for 1,231 yards.
