Ben Chappell throws for 333 yards and 3 TDs as Indiana ends a 3-game losing streak and adds to Illinois' woes. After Juice Williams gives the Illini a 7-3 lead in the 2nd quarter with a 30-yard TD pass to A.J. Jenkins, the Hoosiers score 24 straight points to send Illinois to a 1-5 record.

Williams returns to the starting lineup after being benched for mistakes, and throws for 258 yards and 2 TDs, but also loses 2 fumbles that Indiana convert into TDs to break the game open. Tandon Doss catches 7 passes for 130 yards and 1 TD for the Hoosiers.
