Kentucky claims the Governor's Cup for the 3rd straight year thanks to Mark Hartline's 12-yard TD pass to Randall Cobb w/ 4:28 left to play as the lead trades back and forth throughout the 2nd half. Louisville had claimed a 27-24 lead when Trent Guy takes a pass from Justin Burke 66 yards for a TD midway through the 4th quarter.

Kentucky gets a pair of critical scores from Derrick Locke. Locke takes a kickoff 100 yards for a TD immediately after the Cardinals had taken a 7-3 lead. After Louisville erases a 17-7 deficit, Locke's 2-yard TD run in the 4th quarter regains a 24-21 lead for Kentucky.
