Hit hard by graduation Missouri enters as an underdog and makes Illinois look like the dog. Blaine Gabbert, making his 1st start, throws for 319 yards and 3 TDs. Meanwhile, the Illini's hyped Juice Williams throws for just 179 yards and doesn't get Illinois into the end zone until the 4th quarter when it trails 30-3.

The Tigers gradually stretch out to a 16-3 lead in the 1st half as Grant Ressel hits 3 FGs and Gabbert finds Wes Kemp for a 49-yard TD pass. Gabbert adds 2 more TD passes in the 3rd quarter and then runs for another in the 4th quarter.
