Game Notes

#3 Longhorns squeek by the Sooners 16-13.

Texas beats an depleted Oklahoma in a turnover fest. The Sooners lose Sam Bradford to a re-injury of his shoulder early in the game and turn the ball over 5 times (Texas turns it over 3 times), but the Longhorns barely find enough offense to win.

Colt McCoy goes 21-of-37 with 1 TD, but manages just 127 yards passing in all those attempts, and 33 yards on 14 carries as the Texas offense continues to look like one completely devoid of timing. The Longhorns tie the game 6-6 on Hunter Lawrence's 42-yard FG early in the 3rd quarter and then go ahead on McCoy's 14-yard TD pass to Marquise Goodwin.

The Sooners draw even on Landry Jones' 35-yard TD pass to Ryan Broyles late in the 3rd quarter. Texas finds the winning points on Lawrence's 32-yard FG early in the 4th quarter.
