#2 Crimson Tide blocks the Volunteers' upset bid to win 12-10.

Alabama's 350-pound Terrence Cody proves to be a big obstacle in Tennessee's attempt to upset the Tide, blocking 2 FGs in the 4th quarter, including a 44-yarder by Daniel Lincoln on the final play. Alabama struggled against the Vols' defense, managing just 256 yards and 4 FGs by Leigh Tiffin.

However, it appears to be enough after Tiffin's 49-yarder gives the Tide a 12-3 lead midway through the 4th quarter. It followed immediately after Cody blocked a 43-yard attempt by Lincoln. Tennessee gets renewed hope when Mark Ingram loses his 1st fumble, setting up Jonathan Crompton's 11-yard TD pass to Gerald Jones with 1:19 left, which was ensued by a successful onside kick setting the stage for the final winning FG attempt and block.
