UCLA rallies from an 11-point deficit to deny Temple a win in its 1st bowl trip since 1979. Akeem Ayers returns an INT 2 yards for a TD w/ 6:01 to play, and then the Bruins add a safety on the ensuing series.

Kevin Prince throws for 221 yards and a TD to lead UCLA. The Owls' hopes take a hit when Bernard Pierce is unable to play in the 2nd half after suffering an injury. Pierce had rushed for 53 yards and a TD, being the motor of Temple's offense before the injury.
