Indians stun unbeaten #4 Wolverines 13-12.

Rod Garcia's 31-yard FG w/ :12 left lifts Stanford to the upset. The Indians rally twice in the 4th quarter after falling behind Michigan. The Wolverines had turned a missed FG into a safety when Jim Ferguson tries to return it before being chased back into the end zone and tackled w/ less than 4 minutes remaining. However, Stanford regains the football and drives for the winning score.

Michigan broke a 3-3 tie when Fritz Seyferth scores on a 1-yard plunge early in the 4th quarter. The Indians respond with a 24-yard TD run by Jackie Brown following a successful fake punt.
