Trojans stump the Bruins 23-13 to capture the Pac-8 Championship.

Anthony Davis rushes for 141 yards and 1 TD to help USC beat crosstown rival UCLA in a battle for the Rose Bowl berth. Davis gets the Trojans in front quickly with a 4-yard TD run and they are never headed after.

Pat Haden's 17-yard TD pass to J.K. McKay in the 2nd quarter gives USC a 14-3 lead. The Bruins close to within 14-10 on Kermit Johnson's 3-yard TD run. However, Chris Limahelu hits 3 FGs and UCLA is never able to cut the lead closer than 7 points. Limahelu's 3rd FG seals the win after the Bruins' 6th turnover.
