Curtis Dickey rushes for 276 yards and 1 TD to lead Texas A&M to the victory. Dickey's 19-yard TD run in the 4th quarter opens a 21-12 lead over Iowa State. Adgar Armstrong's 5-yard TD run late in the 4th quarter seals the win.

Iowa State gets in front first on Mike Grant's 5-yard TD pass to Dexter Green in the 2nd quarter. However, the Aggies take the lead before halftime when David Brothers scores on a 1-yard run and Mike Mosley hits Gerald Carter with a 4-yard TD pass.

Green rushes for 148 yards, and pulls the Cyclones with 14-12 on a 28-yard TD run in the 3rd quarter, but Iowa State's 2-point attempt fails leaving them trailing.
