#12 Boilermakers rally to survive the Volunteers for 27-22 win.

Purdue puts together a late drive for the win after blowing a 21-0 lead in the 2nd half. Mark Herrmann hits Dave Young for their 2nd TD connection, a 17-yarder with 1:30 to play after Tennessee had just taken the lead 22-21.

The Volunteers capped a rally from near-oblivion when Hubert Simpson scores on a 1-yard plunge and then successful 2-point conversion. Tennessee rallies once more behind Jimmy Streeter, who throws for over 230 yards, but the rally dies.

Herrmann hits 21-of-39 for 3 TDs and a bowl-record 303 yards.
