#4 Bulldogs hold off the #14 Gamecocks for 13-10 win.

Herschel Walker rushes for 219 yards, including a 76-yard TD run in the 2nd quarter that gives Georgia a 10-0 lead. Rex Robinson's 2 FG puts the Bulldogs ahead 13-0 early in the 3rd quarter. Buck Belue throws for 179 yards.

South Carolina rallies behind George Rogers, who rushes for 168 yards. Carl West's 40-yard TD run late in the 3rd quarter cuts the deficit to 13-10. The Gamecocks threaten twice in the 4th quarter, the final chance being dashed by Rogers' fumble the play after leaving with an injury. South Carolina is able to make a defensive stop on the next series but a roughing the punter penalty allows Georgia to continue a clock-draining drive.
