Southern Cal's defense is too much for South Carolina and George Rogers. The Heisman candidate rushes for 140 yards, but its hard fought, and the final 34 come on a TD run with 1:30 left in the game after the Trojans had a commanding lead.

Marcus Allen rushes for 107 yards to lead Southern Cal. The Trojans extend their lead to 20-6 on a 3rd quarter TD pass from Gordon Adams to Kevin Williams. Williams' 22nd career TD reception equals the Pac-10 record.
