#14 Mustangs put away the Bears 37-20.

SMU gets a big pass interception by Russell Carter to stop a Baylor rally, and then Eric Dickerson caps off the ensuing possession with his 3rd TD run to seal the win. The Bears had cut a 30-6 lead to 30-20 in the 2nd half.

Dickerson rushes for 147 yards, while Craig James rushes for 90 yards, including a key 4th down conversion on a fake punt on the clinching drive. James also adds a TD run to help the Mustangs to their 1st 5-0 start since 1960.
