Wisconsin vs. Tennessee

Network: Mizlou
Announcers: Ray Scott, Al DeRogatis
Format: DVD (4 disks)
Quality: 6.5
Notes: Includes network commercials and halftime... MISSING: at least last 2 plays of 1st quarter... Quality when the pic is good would be 9.0, however, severe tracking issues occur from just before opening kickoff through about the 7th or 8th play of the 1st quarter, reoccur for the 1st 8-12 minutes of the other reels (DVDs), and periodically, but briefly throughout... except for 2nd DVD when the severe tracking effects all but a few minutes of play in the middle of the 2nd quarter. When the tracking occurs, its basically unwatchable, hence the lower grade.

Game Notes

Volunteers have too much firepower for the Badgers in a 28-21 win.

Steve Alatorre throws for 315 yards and 1 TD, while running for another. Speedster Anthony Hancock is the top target, catching 11 for 196 yards and a 43-yard TD, and Willie Gault returns a kickoff 87 yards for a TD after Wisconsin had taken a 7-3 lead in the 1st quarter.

The 7-3 lead following Jess Cole's 3-yard TD run, is the only lead of the day for the Badgers. Fuad Reveiz's 2nd FG, following Gault's return opens a 13-7 lead for the Vols, and then Alatorre connects with Hancock for the TD and Mike Cofer for a 2-point conversion and 21-7 lead going into the half.

Randy Wright rallies Wisconsin with a 6-yard TD pass to Jeff Nault at the start of the 3rd quarter, but Alatorre's 6-yard TD run in the 4th quarter re-ups Tennessee's lead.
