SMU improves to 4-0 despite an uneven effort. Eric Dickerson rushes for 110 yards and 2 2nd half TDs to carry the Mustangs over TCU.

The Frogs miss out on a chance to take a lead, missing a PAT after Steve Stamp's 6-yard TD pass to Stanley Washington in the 3rd quarter. SMU responds with a long drive capped by Dickerson's 6-yard TD run and then hold off TCU's comeback attempts. Craig James adds 94 yards rushing and Lott McElhenny adds 82 yards.
