Eastern Kentucky jumps out to a 17-0 lead and then withstands a 4th quarter rally by the Blue Hens. Richard Bell returns a blocked FG 77 yards for a TD in the 1st half, and then the Colonels convert a fumble into another TD and a 17-0 lead early in the 2nd half.

Delaware rallies with a 20-yard TD pass from halfback Kevin Phelan to Mark Steimer and then Rick Scully hits Tim Sager with a 5-yard TD pass, but his final pass ralls short.
