#10 Mustangs turn back the #17 Irish for 27-20 win.

SMU survives 2 passes into the end zone in the final minute to preserve the win over Notre Dame. The Mustangs had jumped in front 14-0, but the Irish rally to tie it before Brandy Brownlee's 30-yard FG gives SMU a 20-17 lead in the 4th quarter.

Reggie Dupard extends the lead to 27-17 with a 2-yard TD run w/ 6:13 left in the game. Dupard rushes for 103 yards while teammate Jeff Atkins adds 112 yards and a 7-yard TD run. Notre Dame's Allen Pinkett carries 24 times for 136 yards.
