Bruins land the last shot, beating the Hurricanes 39-37.

John Lee's 22-yard FG with :51 left lifts UCLA into the lead and a fumble seals the victory over Miami. The Hurricanes had rallied from down 36-24 to take the lead on a pair of TD passes from Bernie Kosar to Melvin Bratton.

Miami jumped in front 21-7 on the strength of a 68-yard punt return for a TD by Eddie Brown and a 48-yard TD pass from Kosar to Brian Blades. However, Gaston Green sparks the Bruins with a 72-yard TD run, en route to a MVP award with 144 yards and 2 TDs.

Steve Bono has a pair of TD passes, 10 yards to Mike Sherrard and 33 yards to Mike Young, to turn a 24-22 halftime deficit into a 36-24 lead. Bono is 18-of-27 for 243 yards, while Kosar finishes 31-of-44 for 294 yards.
