Bruins rally late to force a 26-26 tie with the Volunteers.

David Norrie comes off the bench to lead UCLA to a pair of TDs and successful 2-point conversions in the final 5 minutes to tie Tennessee. Norrie caps a 97-yard drive with a 8-yard TD pass to Al Wilson to cut it to 26-18, and then hits Willie Anderson with a 26-yard TD pass w/ :36 left, and Gaston Green's run for 2 points tied it.

Green rushes for 194 yards, including a 72-yard TD on the opening series of the game as UCLA jumps out to a 10-0 lead. However, the Volunteers answer with 26 straight points, buoyed by 4 FGs by Carlos Reveiz. Tony Robinson throws for a UT-record 387 yards while tossing a pair of TDs. However, the Vols are unable to take advantage of 5 turnovers by UCLA to put the game away.

Mike Sherrard has 7 catches for 120 yards for the Bruins, while Tim McGee counters with 5 catches for 142 yards for the Volunteers.
